I have been fighting a losing battle for 30 years. As I sat down to record my weekly YouTube video, what I ended up broadcasting wasn’t my usual positive outlook – it was hard, real and honest. But sometimes that is what is needed.

I think the first step to overcoming self sabotage is to acknowledge that it is happening and deal with that bottom line. We can’t change anything until we accept the reality of where we are right now, but then we need to take responsibility. I am taking a new responsibility today for my weight. I won’t shift this weight by hoping and dreaming. Nor will I shift it through blaming and berating. All I can do is acknowledge that is is here, I don’t want it here, and take my steps to do something about it.
